A fascinating story. Some years ago, we met and asked ‘Nonna’ to record her memoirs as a young girl living here during the 1940’s and early 1950’s. She explained about her life, local schools & shops, closed many years ago and about her parents being share-croppers, tending the land with oxen and producing fine extra virgin olive oil for the ‘master’.
