Guests have included the granddaughter of Spyros Skouras the former President of 20th Century Fox, famed for discovering Marilyn Monroe. An ex-Manchester United footballer who played alongside George Best; a BBC TV antiques show presenter; an actor from “Corrie” (Top TV series Coronation Street); many famous opera singers, one who starred in a major production on New York’s Broadway and several International rally car drivers.il sorger del sole wonderful panoramic sea views
Guests are enthralled by the panoramic sea views. Early risers can see the sun glistening over the sea and during August the sun rises over the Basilica at Loreto. Recently, the Italian air force acrobatic team - Frecce Tricolori performed their display over Porto Recanati. The Madonna di Loreto has been the patron saint of pilots, airmen and flight attendants since Pope Benedict XV officially proclaimed this in 1920. The team uses ten aircraft and displays the three colours of the Italian flag during their displays. Each year there is an opportunity to see il sorger del sole, Cingoli and the Le Marche Region from high above. The excursion in the balloon starts early to make the most of the ‘thermals’ and the weather. Over the years a number of guests have undertaken an unforgettable ride in a hot air balloon. Climbing up to 2000 metres the direction is governed by the wind. Sometimes the balloons float towards the south which would offer fantastic views of Cingoli and San Severino and at other times flying north-east towards the Adriatic coast.
